Take the time to learn about the potential benefits, the health risks and the many unknowns regarding generic viagra soft. It can be frightening to read a list of the side effects of Sildenafil citrate. More than a few of my patients have immediately assumed that they would suffer from all of them. The truth is that most people will experience none of them, just the benefits of Sildenafil citrate. Side effects vary from person to person and it is impossible to predict exactly how each individual will be affected. Some characteristics and pre-existing conditions are known to increase the risk from certain side effects. Doctors should assess these factors before advising patients on which drugs to choose. The FDA monitors reports of adverse drug reactions and has found no difference in the rates between generic and brand name drugs.

The penis is one of the areas where these enzymes work. Sildenafil is used to treat men who have erectile dysfunction (also called sexual impotence). By controlling the enzyme phosphodiesterase, sildenafil helps to maintain an erection that is produced when the penis is stroked. Viagra Soft tabs have the same active ingredient that Regular Viagra has but Soft tabs are specially formulated to be dissolvable under the tongue. Viagra is an oral drug for male impotence, also known as erectile dysfunction (ED). The pill is absorbed at the mouth and enters the bloodstream directly instead of going through the stomach.

Viagra causes erections only during sexual excitement. Taking sildenafil with a nitrate medicine can cause a serious decrease in blood pressure, leading to fainting, stroke, or heart attack. A small number of patients have had a sudden loss of eyesight after taking sildenafil. It is not clear whether sildenafil is the actual cause of such vision loss. Sudden vision loss with sildenafil use has occurred most often in people with heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or certain pre-existing eye problems, and in those who smoke or are over 50 years old.

How Should I Take Sildenafil Soft Tabs?

In combination with sexual stimulation, sildenafil works by helping the blood flow into the penis to achieve and maintain an erection. This drug is not indicated for use in women. Sildenafil is used to treat male sexual function problems (impotence or erectile dysfunction) by blocking a certain enzyme (phosphodiesterase-PDE5) in the body. Use of this drug does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases. Sildenafil soft is usually taken only when needed, 15 - 20 minutes before sexual activity. The medication can help achieve an erection when sexual stimulation occurs. Take it only before sexual activity. Put the pill under the tongue and wait till it desolves. If you miss a dose... Viagra is not for regular use. Taking Viagra approximately 1 hour before sexual activity works best for most men. Depending on how and when the drug works for you, an interval of one-half hour to as much as 4 hours may prove ideal. An erection will not occur just by taking a pill.

What Happens If I Miss A Dose?

If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the medicine at the next regularly scheduled time. Viagra is used as needed, so you are not likely to miss a dose.
