Like most medicines, erectile dysfunction drugs can cause possible side effects. These unwanted effects are often mild, but sometimes they are more serious and can have a major impact on health or quality of life. Most of modern erectile dysfunction medications are very well tolerated and only rarely cause serious side effects. Many medicines are also suspected of interfering with sexual function. Antidepressants are the medicines most frequently implicated in causing sexual dysfunction. Blood pressure lowering medicines are also implicated, although the mechanism by which they cause sexual problems will vary from medicine to medicine. ED medicines are not recommended in the treatment of sexual dysfunction due to other medication, unless there is no suitable alternative that can be offered to treat your condition.
